What is iNAV?
Mutual funds only calculate their Net Asset Value (NAV) at the end of the trading day. As ETFs trade in real-time throughout the day, an end of day valuation would be too infrequent for most users and market participants.
The intraday net asset value (“iNAV”) provides near real-time indication of the value of an ETF based on the market price of its underlying constituents. The value is generally calculated by the listing exchange and then published every 15 seconds.
Investors can compare iNAV with intraday prices of the ETF to value and monitor their trading opportunities.
