FTSE MIB index
The FTSE MIB index is the best-known Italian stock market index. It measures the performance of the 40 largest and most-traded stocks on the Borsa Italiana, the Italian national stock exchange.
The index is often used to measure the performance of the Italian economy, just like the CAC 40 for France, DAX for Germany, and IBEX 35 for Spain. It is worth noting that the index is comprised of 30% of financial companies and 20% of utility companies.
