Investment strategy
The fund seeks to replicate the performance of the Franklin International ex North America Low Volatility High Dividend CAD Index NTR (the "FLVI Index"). The FLVI Index seeks to provide stable income through investments in stocks of profitable companies in developed markets outside of the United States and Canada with relatively high dividend yields or anticipated dividend yields and lower price and earnings volatility in CAD currency. The FLVI Index is composed of equity securities in developed markets outside of the United States and Canada across a range of market capitalizations. The components of the FLVI Index are reconstituted once a year and rebalanced quarterly. Stocks whose yields are not supported by earnings are excluded from consideration.
