The European ETF market has reached another major milestone, with equity ETFs nearing $2 trillion in assets. Equity strategies now account for 72% of total ETF assets in the region. In comparison, the U.S. equity ETF market stands at $9.26 trillion, representing 80% of total U.S. ETF assets.
Q2 2025 was the strongest second quarter ever for European ETF flows with EUR 66 billion in net inflows, but it ranks only fifth among all quarters. The top spot remains last quarter (Q1 2025), which recorded EUR 91.5 billion in inflows.
iShares retained its position as the top ETF issuer in Europe by net inflows during Q2 2025, despite recording lower inflows compared to Q1. Vanguard climbed to the #2 spot, displacing Amundi. Meanwhile, UBS made a notable leap, jumping from #11 in Q1 to claim the #4 position this quarter.
Crypto ETFs has flourished in the U.S. since the launch of spot Bitcoin ETFs in early 2024. These products in all their forms, including options based, leveraged, inverse, spot, and futures, have collectively attracted over $100 billion in net inflows.
Meanwhile, in Europe, investor appetite for crypto ETPs remains muted—despite the region’s early lead in offering access.
After a period of net outflows from India ETFs between October 2024 and February 2025, which coincided with a sharp stock market sell-off driven by stretched valuations, heavy foreign selling, weak corporate earnings, and signs of a domestic slowdown, U.S.-listed India ETFs are now seeing renewed interest amid a market rebound.

Solar and other clean energy stocks rallied after Senate Republicans removed a proposed tax on solar and wind projects from President Trump’s major budget bill, which had threatened the industry with higher costs and regulatory hurdles.
While this provided short-term relief and fueled investor optimism, the same bill still accelerates the end of key solar and wind tax credits forcing new projects to start construction much sooner to qualify and shortening the window for incentives.
