ETFs seeking to replicate Energy stocks indices experienced a surge of inflows during yesterday’s market session with +$74,93M of new shares created via the primary market and despite ETFs losing -1,99% on the same day. This brought the 30-day cumulative flows to +$215,78M with ETFs progressing +8,37% over the same period. Year-to-date, ETFs are still down -20,56% despite investors having gradually increased their exposure to the segment with +$2,9Bn of cumulative flows over the same period. 14 funds tracking 12 indices are included in the segment for a total of $7,3Bn of assets under management.
