The government 1-5Y bonds segment on TrackInsight lost 0,48% on Friday, July 17th. It is a significant move for this low volatile segment that won 3,5% since the beginning of the year. Over the same period, investors have poured new $1,8 bn of assets in this segment of 21 ETFs, particularly appreciated in periods of market turmoil. Bond ETFs flows are booming in 2020, helped by the Fed’s implicit endorsement of the structure after the Central Bank decided to buy these funds as part of its coronavirus response. In 2020, Bonds ETFs have attracted nearly $ 117 Bn of new assets.
