ETFs seeking to replicate financial stocks indices experienced another painful market session on Friday with a drop of -2,15%, bringing the 30-day cumulative performance to -28,82%. The drop comes after news of soaring unemployment in the US increasing the odds that US banks will have to cut dividends following their European counterparts. Investors poured out $918,17M cumulatively on Thursday’s and Friday’s market sessions end of last week. Year-to-date, investors have withdrawn a total of $3,7Bn from the segment while it lost over 35%. The segment gathers 24 funds replicating the performance of 17 indices for a total of $15,6Bn of assets under management.
