MSCI Emerging Markets Index
The MSCI Emerging Markets index is a popular indicator of the performance of emerging countries’ stock markets. It measures the performance of large and mid-cap companies across 27 emerging economies.
With more than 1400 constituents, it covers approximately 85% of the free float-adjusted market capitalization of each country in the index. Still it is worth noting that Chinese stocks account for 35% of the index while the second country is Taiwan with 15% of the index.
