Thanks to the tech-fueled bull run in U.S. large-cap growth stocks over the last decade, investor attention has been squarely focused on one particular index: The Nasdaq 100. Composed of the 100 largest non-financial stocks trading on the Nasdaq exchange, the index had some $300 billion worth of exchange-traded products tracking it by the end of 2021.

One of the most popular index ETFs for tracking the Nasdaq 100 is currently the Invesco QQQ Trust Series 1 (QQQ). With an inception date of March 10, 1999, QQQ has been around for just over 24 years now and has amassed just over $201 billion in assets under management, or AUM.

To understand more about QQQ and its lower-cost cousin, the Invesco NASDAQ 100 ETF (QQQM), I sat down with Paul Schroeder, QQQ Equity Product Strategist at Invesco. Here are some answers to questions many advisors may have about these two ETFs and investing in the Nasdaq 100 overall.
