Once more the North American market showed its strength and the interest of investors in Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) with 21 new funds being launched. The most notable new ETFs are Roundhill Ball Metaverse ETF (META), AdvisorShares Gerber Kawasaki ETF (GK), and Innovator Defined Wealth Shield ETF (BALT).
Investors are available now to get exposure and be part of the evolution of the internet through the Roundhill Ball Metaverse ETF (META) or diversify their portfolio with the multi-theme AdvisorShares Gerber Kawasaki ETF (GK) that will allow them to be part of themes that used to be considered as illegal. But if what they want is to have a defensive investment strategy, the Defined Wealth Shield ETF (BALT) is an option to protect their investment.
Trackinsight delivers reliable and comprehensive coverage on 13,000+ ETFs
Here’s what you need to know about these new ETFs.
The Roundhill Ball Metaverse ETF (META) is designed to offer investors exposure to the Metaverse Market by providing investment results that closely correspond, before fees and expenses, to the performance of the Ball Metaverse Index. The Metaverse, is a concept of a next-generation Internet that is persistent, interoperable, synchronous and open to everyone, with its own fully functioning economy and both virtual and real-world experiences. META ETF is the first ETF to offer exposure to this market, and it is an opportunity for investors to be involved in companies that get a strong share of the revenue from a market that Bloomberg Intelligence believes can reach $800 billion by 2025.
AdvisorShares launched the AdvisorShares Gerber Kawasaki ETF (GK), to offer broad thematic exposure across a variety of long-term macro trends while adding a layer of diversification that individual thematic or sector ETFs may not provide. This actively managed ETF seeks to identify growth companies that are positioned to benefit from transformative changes in our society such as sustainable changes occurring in demographics, social attitudes, environmental pressures, geopolitical upheaval, disruptive technologies and product or service innovation.
Themes that fall under GK ETF include:
For investors looking to get exposure to the potential upside of the equity markets but want a significant buffer against loses in SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (SPY) each calendar quarter, Innovator Capital Management has launched the Innovator Defined Wealth Shield ETF (BALT).
The BALT ETF seeks to provide a defensive investment strategy as an alternative to cash, short-term debt, and core bond strategies that are common in traditional portfolio construction and conservative allocations. The current environment is not the best for investors as bond yields are near historic lows, money market funds are yielding less than 0.1% and interest rate risk are elevated. According to Bruce Bond, CEO of Innovator ETFs, BALT ETF can help investors diversify their defensive allocations by working to reduce interest rate risk while maintaining a defensive, risk-managed posture towards equities.
